DECLARATION OF DATA PROTECTION

 Applicability

This declaration on data protection describes the nature, extent and purpose of the imposition, the storing and use of personal data on this website as it is handled by Reitz Holding GmbH & Co. KG.  

Personal data refers to specific data which according to § 3 sentence 1 BDSG (Bundesdatenschutzgesetz) contain particulars about the personal or objective affairs of a specified or specifyable natural person. These include e.g. the name, postal address, phone number or e-mail-address.  

The legal basics for data protection can be found in the German „Bundesdatenschutzgesetz (BDSG)“ i.e. the Federal Data Protection Act and the „Telemediengesetz (TMG)“, i.e. the German Telemedia Act.  

General notes on data protection

(1) As a general rule, our website can be used without providing any personal data.  

(2) During your session the following data is possibly saved (usage data):  

a. Your IP-address.  

b. The date and time of the page view.  

c. The viewed page respectively the name of the downloaded file.

d. The quantity of transmitted data and the message whether the access/retrieval was successful.  

e. The used web browser incl. the used software version.

f. The origin of the call (referrer-URL, country, domain, provider).  

Data is saved in an anonymized or pseudonymized way and cannot be traced back to you.

(3) Usage data will not be used for commercial purpose. It is used solely for statistical evaluation and for the optimization and safety of our Internet services.  

(4) A permanent storage outside the limits of legal requirements will not be carried out. Within the limits of our legal obligation, an evaluation of this data may become obligatory, e.g. if there is justified suspicion for criminal offences.

(5) Further personal data is only recorded if the website user and/or customer voluntarily enters information, e.g. with respect to an inquiry or a registration or to conclude a contract or through the settings of his browser.  

We hereby expressly object to the third party use of contact data which has been published in accordance with the editorial requirements, for the transmission of not expressly solicited advertisement and information data.

Use of Cookies  

Our Internet site uses Cookies. A cookie is a text file that is sent to user’s browser from our site and is then temporarily stored on the user’s hard disk. As Cookies do not include any executable files, they do not contain any viruses and they are not dangerous in any way to the computer on which they are stored.  

Cookies serve only for the storage of statistical information such as the operating system, your Internet use program (browser), IP-address, the previously called up website (Referrer-URL) or the time of the Internet visit.  

You have the option of preventing the storage of Cookies on your computer by making appropriate changes to the settings of your browser. Thus, the function of our Internet service could be restricted.  

Use of Google Analytics

Our service uses Google Analytics, a web analysis service provided by Google Inc. („Google“). Google Analytics uses the above described Cookies to allow an analysis of the use of the website. Information generated by the Cookie on the use of our website is normally sent to a server in the U.S. and stored there. This is how the use of Cookies differentiates itself from the above described storage of Cookies solely on the calling computer.

On behalf of Reitz Holding GmbH & Co. KG., Google will use this information to evaluate the use of the website by the viewers, to compile reports on the website activity, to provide more reports on the website use and to perform other services associated with Internet use to Reitz Holding GmbH & Co. KG.  

The IP-address transmitted through Google Analytics by your browser is shortened in the last octet by code expansion “anonymizeIP” and therefore anonymized before transmitted and processed by Google. These data will not be joined with other data provided by Google. However, Google Analytics is able to transmit compiled usage statistics to third parties without Reitz Holding GmbH & Co. KG. having any influence on this.

As described above, the storage of Cookies by Google Analytics can be prevented by corresponding browser settings.  

Furthermore, it is possible to prevent recording of the data generated by the Cookie and referring to your website use (incl. your IP-address) and the transmission to Google as well as the processing by Google by downloading and installing on your computer the browser plug-in available under the following link:

Inclusion of services and components of third parties  

Within the framework of this website the content of other providers such as YouTube and Google Maps will be embedded. The basic requirement for including this content is the disclosure of usage data only in the way described above. We point out that Reitz Holding GmbH & Co. KG. does not have any control over the use of usage data on the part of the providers of such services.

Links to external websites  

Our offer contains links to external web pages of third parties whose contents are not subject to our influence. Therefore we cannot take over any liability for these external contents. The respective supplier or operator of these sides is always responsible for the contents of the linked sides.  

The linked pages were checked for any legal irregularities at the time of the establishment of the link. No illegal contents were recognizable at the moment of linking. However, permanent checking of the linked pages is not reasonable without specific evidence indicating a legal infringement.

As soon as we become aware of a legal violation we will remove such contents immediately.

Registration function und services for logged-in users  

Registration on the Website  

Oata communicated by the user in the scope of the registration will be used for the purpose of the use of the selected site. The user can be informed by email on relevant information on the site or the registration such as any website changes or technical circumstances. The collected data can be viewed in the input screen in the scope of the registration.

Depending on the scope of services required from our website by the user, the following data will be collected:

The collection, processing and storage of this data exclusively serves the purpose of implementing, improving and ensuring our scope of requested services. Data will not be transferred to third parties, except this is expressly wanted and authorized by the user (e.g. in case a service is provided by a third party).

We will point it out if for carrying out a service it is required to transfer data to a third party and we will ask for your explicit consent to do so.  

Storage of such data will be carried out only over the periods required by commercial law or tax law. Afterwards, data will be deleted unless you have agreed expressly to a further use.

We point out that in particular cases and at the request of appropriate authorities we are obliged to provide information on such data, if this is required e.g. for the purpose of prosecution or to avert any dangers.  

Newsletter  

In case you are registered with your email-address to receive our Newsletter, we require a valid mail address to carry out this service. For this purpose it is necessary to store your IP-address and the registration date and to send out an activation mail in order to prevent any misuse of the mail address. Data will not be transferred to third parties.

In case it is expressly pointed out in the scope of the newsletter registration, we will continue to use your email-address also beyond the validity of the contract for our own advertising purposes unless you have unsubscribed from the newsletter.  

It is possible at any time to unsubsribe from the Newsletter or from other information sent by Reitz Holding GmbH & Co. KG. via a corresponding link contained in the Newsletter or by appropriate settings of an existing registration on the website (customer account).

Contact form

In case you contact us by using the contact form or by email, your data will be stored for the purpose of processing your query or for the case that any follow up questions arise. Any further use of this data is excluded.

Right of access and right of withdrawal  

Upon demand, the user has the right to receive free information on which personal data have been stored about him. Further, the user has the right of rectification of incorrect data or the blocking or deletion of his personal data unless compulsory legal storage periods state otherwise.
